It Has Been A While.

It has been just over 2 years since I last posted on this blog. A lot has happened in those years, a few trips to France and a few trips up to the North East, once staying in Bamburgh Castle. I had a garden office installed (The Shedit Suite) and I won the Photography Cup at the Haddenham Flower Show, amongst other things.

In the summer of 2021, on the hottest weekend of the year, I filmed the Bradford on Avon Food and Drink festival. It became the first film I edited in the newly constructed Shedit Suite. 2022 was just as much fun and I’m already preparing for the 2023 Festival.

Thame Arts and Literature Festival wanted to make a film of the Literary History of Thame. So in 2021 we filmed and I edited “The Thame Chronicles”. Henry VIII stopped the traffic in the Butter Market, and an actor was ‘stabbed’ near the war memorial.

Thame Food Festival continues to get better and better. A new Festival Village hosts some of the biggest Bake Off stars, and there is something for everyone.

Sadly 2021 saw the last Thame Arts and Literature Festival. A stalwart of Thame’s cultural life, it went out with a bang with a visit from political heavyweight David Miliband. The Thame Museum is keeping the soul of TAL going.

I filmed and edited the Thame Town Music Festival. Big Country headlined, with 9 stages hosting music of every sort. A great day was had by all.

Much delicious food was made and consumed, with Christmas gatherings and Birthday parties featuring prominently. Even the late Queen’s Platty Joobs. I have no idea what the new King’s Coronation holds!
